I followed the instruction to install the scenario_runner and when I try to run
python scenario_runner.py --scenario FollowLeadingVehicle_1 --reloadWorld or
it just shows me the empty streets without any car. The pygame window in manual_control.py code pops up as a dark screen while waiting ego vehicle.
Here is my output for scenario_runner: (upload://39DickvUz37x7rRbPeKZYOUVEMN.jpeg)
Hey. This is somewhat confusing for new users so let me make sure you are following the expected procedure.
Firstly, you have to initialize the scenario. This is done with (
python scenario_runner.py --scenario FollowLeadingVehicle_1 --reloadWorld).
With this, everything will be ready, and now you just need an agent to control the ego vehicle. In this case, the example uses the manual control (
python manual_control.py) which has to be run on another terminal. Make sure to use ScenarioRuner’s manual control, and not CARLA’s.
The example scenarios have a timeout of about 1 minute, so you should run the manual control relatively fast after the first command, because when the timeout triggers, the scenario will stop, regardless of its state.
Thanks for your quick response. It worked as you said.
